The Africa Technology Expo (ATE) has announced ambitious goals for its upcoming 2026 edition, targeting a landmark $890 million in ecosystem deal activity. Scheduled for June 26–27 at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos, Nigeria, the enterprise-focused summit aims to catalyze significant partnerships, investments, and enterprise contracts across the continent’s burgeoning tech landscape.
Now in its third iteration, the Expo is projected to assemble over 7,000 senior technology executives, investors, policymakers, and enterprise leaders. Organizers emphasize a high-caliber audience, with more than two-thirds of attendees expected to be C-suite executives and senior decision-makers. This focus on leadership mirrors a broader trend of strategic corporate evolution within key African sectors, akin to strategic shifts like an AEDC transitions to Holdco structure, highlighting a maturation across industries.
Building on the estimated $198 million in conversations facilitated during its previous edition, the 2026 target underscores accelerating global confidence in Africa’s digital infrastructure and enterprise technology potential. The event will feature a diverse speaker lineup from global giants including Microsoft, Ericsson, Google, Nokia, Amazon Web Services, and Deloitte, alongside regional leaders from infrastructure firms like Rack Centre and Open Access Data Centres.
The two-day programme is designed as a premier executive boardroom, featuring keynote sessions, executive roundtables, and an exhibition floor showcasing innovations in robotics, IoT, and connectivity. A precursor to the main event, the Doing Business in Africa (DBIA) Tour, will offer delegates curated insights into the continent’s regulatory landscape, a topic of constant discussion among entities from a Sokoto LG Chairman to the NMA Lagos FG seeking to improve service delivery.
This growth is further supported by increasing international development partnerships, such as when the EU provided €1.5m for similar ecosystem initiatives, and by the launch of new local financial instruments like the recent Lasaco Assurance launches of innovative products. The 2026 Africa Technology Expo is headlined by Breet and supported by partners including MTN and ZOHO, positioning itself as the definitive platform for shaping the future of Africa’s digital economy.
