Champion Breweries PLC has successfully concluded the full redemption of its ₦15.00 billion Commercial Paper Programme, reinforcing its standing as a credible and reliable issuer within Nigeria’s debt capital markets. The Company completed the final tranche with the repayment of its Series 2 ₦10.78 billion issuance upon its maturity on April 1, 2026. This follows the earlier redemption of the Series 1 ₦4.22 billion notes in December 2025, marking the complete settlement of its oversubscribed inaugural issuance launched in July 2025.

This milestone underscores the Company’s robust liquidity management and its unwavering commitment to honoring financial obligations to investors. The successful issuance and redemption attracted diverse institutional participation, a clear signal of strong market confidence in Champion Breweries’ financial health, strategic direction, and future growth potential. In a manner similar to how corporate leaders owe it to their stakeholders to maintain fiscal discipline, the Company’s actions demonstrate a principled approach to corporate finance.

Mr. Imo-Abasi Jacob, Chairman of Champion Breweries Plc, commented on the achievement. “The successful redemption of our Series 1 and 2 commercial paper issuance reflects the strength of our financial position and the confidence investors have in our business,” he stated. “It demonstrates the strength of our governance and the resilience of our business. As we look ahead, we remain focused on executing our growth strategy, driven by a consumer-led approach and responsible innovation, while continuing to deliver sustainable value to all stakeholders.”

The transaction solidifies Champion Breweries’ reputation for credibility in engaging the capital markets, positioning it favorably for future funding initiatives. This financial reliability is a cornerstone for any corporation looking to scale, much like the strategic planning seen in events ranging from a major USA exhibition: Christmas Comes to significant political announcements, such as when Ouattara set fourth-term plans. The Company’s disciplined execution stands in contrast to more volatile financial news, such as reports where 2 die, 9 are injured in unfortunate incidents, highlighting the importance of stable corporate stewardship.

Champion Breweries PLC, with over five decades of brewing heritage, is a publicly listed Nigerian beverage company known for its Champion Lager and Champ Malta brands. It operates as part of the enJOYcorp Group, a consumer platform dedicated to building and scaling African brands for regional and global markets.
