About the Role
Nigerpress is seeking talented and passionate Content Creators / Bloggers who can create high-quality, engaging, and original content focused on Nigeria. If you have strong writing skills, understand online trends, and enjoy telling stories that inform, educate, or entertain Nigerians, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities
- Write well-researched and engaging articles on topics relevant to Nigerians (news, lifestyle, entertainment, tech, trends, culture, politics, business, etc.).
- Publish content directly on the Nigerpress platform using our editor.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and originality in every post.
- Follow SEO best practices to improve search visibility and reach.
- Stay updated on Nigeria’s latest happenings, trends, and conversations.
- Work with editors to improve content quality when necessary.
- Share published articles across social media to increase reach and engagement.
Requirements
- Strong writing skills with excellent grammar and storytelling ability.
- Good knowledge of Nigeria’s culture, news, politics, entertainment, and online trends.
- Ability to create original, plagiarism-free content.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Access to a smartphone or laptop with internet connection.
- Prior blogging or writing experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to meet deadlines and publish consistently.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword usage.
- Familiarity with Nigerian social media trends and youth culture.
Compensation
Our compensation is based on your preference of either fixed monthly pay or pay per article:
(A) Fixed Monthly Pay – ₦120,000 – ₦180,000 monthly
(B) Pay Per Article – ₦3,000 – ₦5,000 per article (400–800 words)
